"In the heart of KL, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there lies a coffee shop that has served the city folks for years. This coffee shop is none other than Lai Foong. When you come to Lai Foong, you come to taste especially three different Yummylicious shockalingam slurpylicious delicacies. The three are fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork). If your stomach can whack all three: fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork), you would have savoured the essential essence of Lai Foong coffee shop. Each delicacy on its own is already mouth watering, so imagine attempting the treble."

"Scan to order, waiting time was reasonable. Food served piping hot with large portion of la-la, the soup base was thick, personally i prefer the ICC’s clear broth version with strong pepper taste that left a tinge of spiciness lingering in the mouth. Nevertheless, ICC was too hot to dine in especially in the afternoon, this place on the other hand provides a more comfortable dining experience."

"Kedai Kopi Lai Foong, located just opposite the Sin Shi Yeh temple, is well known for its authentic lala noodle. This place has been around for many years, and the lala noodle is definitely the most recommended dish — fresh, flavourful, and comforting. The environment can be slightly noisy and a bit hot, but that’s expected for a classic kopitiam setting. Overall, it’s a good experience with delicious food that keeps people coming back. Worth trying if you’re in the area!"

"I visited twice on weekend afternoons. The food is tasty and the prices are around RM10–RM20 per dish. It’s set up like a food court with lots of different stalls. The process is easy: you order at the stall, and they bring your food to your table. You pay when they deliver (QR or cash), which is convenient. The main issues: It was hot because there are only fans (no A/C). When it's crowded, finding a table is hard and you might feel rushed. Also, some food stalls are fast, but others are slow."

"Overall experience: Lai Foong is an old-school spot in KL, known for its beef noodles since 1956, which is exactly what I came for. The place gets busy, turnover is quick, and it carries that classic kopitiam charm. However, do manage your cleanliness expectations, it’s functional but far from spotless, like many traditional coffee shops in the city. Food: Tried the mixed beef noodle soup, the broth was light yet full of beefy flavour. The mix of tripe, tendon, and sliced meat was tender and fresh. Also had the dry noodles with soup on the side, both were equally satisfying. The beef balls had a nice bite, and the house chilli added a good kick. Goes perfectly with a cup of hot kopi. Service: Quick and no-fuss. Just order and grab a seat and your noodle will be serving to you soon. Cost: RM17 for a regular bowl — fair for the quality and portion. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area."
